For All Things Gifts

Hi Stampers, my share today is called For All Things Gifts.  It’s my weekly challenge day with Amy K and this week our challenge is twofold…The Stampin UP Stamp Set is For All Things and we further challenged to create a 3-d Thanksgiving item.  I decided on little gift boxes.

My first one is made with the Stampin Up Fry Box Die

Stampin Up For All Things Fry Box by Sandi @ www.stampingwithsandi.com

I cut the fry box from Kraft Card Stock, decorated the inside back with the Color Me Autumn Designer Paper and then stamped the leaves on Naturals Ivory card stock and cut it out.

A little Linen Thread and Tangelo Twist 3/8″ Satin Ribbon tying up a cello bag full of chocolate finished it off, along with some Regals Candy Dots…

Next, I got out my Envelope Punch Board to create this little box.

I used the Color Me Autumn Designer Paper and here are the instructions:

  • 8 x 8 piece of card stock or designer paper
  • Line up 1-3/4 – punch and score – you won’t be able to score all the way to the end
  • slide to the left to 4-3/4 – punch and score.
  • Flip to the opposite end and repeat.
  • Turn over, line up the 1-3/4 score and finish the score on both sides.
  • Flip back to the right side – go to the sides and line up the score line, punch and score
  • slide to the left, line up the next score line, punch and score
  • Repeat on the other side.
  • fold all score lines.  At the corners, fold them in line up the side and end pieces and crease.  Add glue dots to the top flap and fold it to the inside of the box to finish it off.
  • use the 1″ circle punch to punch holes in the top two flaps, tie the ribbon through to close.

I again created a sentiment banner from a 1 x 3 piece of the designer paper and cut out a stamped leaf from the Naturals Ivory card stock.

This little box is really fun to make, I didn’t have time to create a video today, but I’ll try to tape one tomorrow for you.

Let’s pop over to Amy’s Blog and see what she came up with for the challenge, I bet it’s adorable, LOL….
